So hard to save money with Corona
So hard to save money with Corona
What's the hardest part for you? Do you track your spending? Are there ways you can cut back, even a tiny bit, on unnecessary expenses? It's definitely a difficult time…hang in there!
I understand how hard it is to save while in this pandemic. Do you have items like clothing or shoes that are in good condition that could be sold online? Also if possible, recycle the plastic and aluminum cans that you or your family use if there is a recycling facility nearby. Just some suggestions.
I have nothing to save
So hard to save money when no job due too pandemic.
I have never been so at rock bottom in my life, having yet to recieved my income tax or stimilus it is impossible to save.

Depending on where you live recycling is a great idea. Also, maybe you can find some small side jobs for neighbors… raking leaves, babysitting, painting projects….
If you have books you no longer want, you can resell them online. Do a search to see which company will pay you the most money for your books.
Its hard to save when on SSI an there are all these rules an limitations to how much can be saved for how long before they start taking money away. Add to that, there just isn't much money to save left after paying bills.
cynthia - do you have an ABLE account? It will help you out. You can save up to 100k before it's looked at by SSI. There are some restrictions in using this account such as deposit limits but for the most part it's pretty broad in what you can use the money for. They also have options within that account if you want to treat it as a regular savings account or put it in the stock market. Something to look into if you haven't.
I've never even heard of such an account. I don't know where to look but I'll start by googling it.
Cynthia - Each state have their own version of it. I personally uses MN's but here's the IRS site for the account I'm referring to - https://www.irs.gov/government-entities/federal-state-local-governments/able-accounts-tax-benefit-for-people-with-disabilities
Best of luck to you!
