Saving is vital.
Saving is vital.
Pay yourself first. Find free or low cost entertainment and try to save money on food. (Cook at home as opposed to eating out. Even doing frozen food/pizza at home can help you save money)
Cut on many wants that are not needs such as: cigarettes, sodas, gourmet coffee such as Starbucks, snacks, and other items that can save you money. You don't have to cut completely. Have some of these once or twice a week so you can enjoy them most and look forward to having them with a savings mindset.
I agree that food, drinks and entertainment are the easiest places to save. Cut out the extras and be prepared to cook your own food. Also remember not to be treating yourself to expensive meals all the time. Search "budget meals" on Pinterest and you'll find A HUGE amount of low cost meals that will fill you up and still taste great.
I do the pay yourself first I also have cut back on the restaurant food delivery I cook at home now and I’ve stopped the unnecessary trips to the grocery store I do online delivery so I won’t be tempted to overspend. This method may not work for all but it helps me a lot.
If your on EBT the farmer's market will double your money. So I eat lots of salads and great fruits and veggies. Making great dishes with out spending much.
