Look up today's Lunch Money (episode 203) on Youtube. Great Anthony Pompliano rant on Robinhood shutting down the ability to buy GME today.

I have no idea where to start when it comes to investing.

What is best is obviously subjective but I've recently come across Wealthfront.

You can start with a banking account for $1 that pays 0.35% (advertised) and when you get $500 you can add an investment account that lets you choose the level of risk.

Even with a risk tolerance of 1 out of 10 it has averaged around 6% returns. That's impressive!

I use Robinhood and really enjoy it. Even though my socks took a big hit during 2020, I rode it out and eventually my initial investment of $1500 more than doubled!
I recently decided to sell shares and pull out $1500 in profits, so now my investment into Robinhood is $0 and I still have $2200 in stocks! The most profitable stocks that I'm holding are GPRO and SRNE.
