I'm new at investing and don't have much cash at all how do you know what's fake or not?

You don't know unless you try it so we got to find out this real or fake
If you are talking about investments don't go exotic and stick to stocks, bonds, etf's, mutual funds, and time deposits. Once you have researched alternatives like fx, crypto, real estate, commodities , etc. you should stick with the established brokers or financial institutions. When in doubt don't turn your money over until you have checked with a source you trust.
I’m new to this all!
I recommend the Public and Robinhood apps for beginners. Webull and eToro would be good follow up apps once you get a grasp for simple investing. And of course aside from playing the stock market, opening up a Roth IRA account for your future is highly recommend.
Tony and Erica both offer good advice. Definitely do some research before putting out any money. Check the Better Business Bureau for reviews and even Google reviews for companies can be good places to start as well.
Go with the established platforms?
I usually cross reference via Google.
Thank you, great advice everyone!

Maybe use, TD Ameritrade and buy stocks that pay dividends like SFL or IGD.

Maybe start with a cd from your bank.
