Hey @Stephanie R! I'm not sure about the new unemployment guidelines, but there's a tool on this site that might be helpful to understand if you qualify: https://www.unemploymentsupport.org/us/?source=sl
@Stephanie R. There really isn't a clear picture for unemployment. The only thing that is clear right now is, Trump allotted for $300 for unemployment benefits for about three weeks. But the Governor's of each state; have to apply for the emergency money. So, whatever state you live in, you need to check and see if your governor applied for the money. One more thing, to be able to receive the extra $300 - your regular benefit amount must be $100 & up. If your unemployment amount is below that amount, then you do qualify. But I understand that they are trying to change that for people who's unemployment payment is below the $100 mark.
So, Google your state to see if your governor applied for the money.
This extra $300 really helps me with my bills.
They need to extend the $300 here in California
My part time job cut my hours so badly before Covid, I didn't qualify for unemployment.
Well the cares act is what helps me be eligible for unemployment under the pandemic unemployment only but it helps!!
Wecnever received the extra amount because we only had a combined talk of 50 a week. Ended up getting a check for 600 each. (100) a week because our governor agreed to the extra, but we didn't qualify for the other 300 a week
