Just want to be in a position to tear down my old and buy or build new. Old house isn't worth remodeling, the mold has taken over.

Does anyone have any tips for getting a house at the lowest interest rate possible?

I'm interested in this, too

The interest rate is not a secret number or completely unpredictable. It follows the federal rates and to get the best rates is by having a strong credit score in the 700s.

Shandreka H look up the NACA program, Credit score doesn't matter, no down payment, no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, and you can buy down your interest rate.

I would love to be able to repair the house my parents had have to me but I don’t have no funds to start and I don’t even know if it’s worth trying to save or I should just demolish and start over

Be aware some ads promote low interest rates, but only after you pay points.

Jessica NACA has the lowest interest rate in the market and you can buy it down.

Look up the address on Zillow, this will give you an idea of the value. You could use a home equity loan to fix it up. Do you know anyone in the construction biz? Have someone local come out and tell you what needs fixing and how much it would cost. Another option is to sell it to flippers and buy another home with the $, they make the process super easy but you will only get around 60% of it's value. Hope this helps!

Foreclosure and property that your city or county office has for sale is a good place to start.

You can talk to your insurance company to see if a claim is possible.

The better your credit score, the better rates you will be able to get. Just focus now on improving your credit score and saving for the down payment and closing costs.
