Kristen O.: I freeze those leftover food items in the containers the night before so when I get to work I can heat them up. Also I have an electric lunchbox that I brought from Amazon for 29.00 and it has small hot plate inside that I plug in at my desk and place the container in. By lunch time my food is completely heated up.

@Kristen O. I have lots of little containers with good seals that don't leak. I also use mason jars, which come in different sizes and have lids that screw on. They work well for soup. If you don't have a microwave at work, get a good thermos to keep things hot.

I'm definitely healthier now that I have packed my lunch for the last 2 months.

I have to get back to packing my lunch. I was too busy trying to help some small businesses.

@ Patricia A I haven't ever heard of an electric lunch box, but that might be worth considering. Thank you. (Also, for reminding me of thermoses.)

@A K I hadn't thought of mason jars. Do you have a way to test if a seal is good on a container? I've tilted mine upside down before, but the ones I've tried seem to be "slow leaking". …though I suppose it might just depend on how tightly I secure the lids. Weak wrists and handgrip.

Anyone know about the containers (usually glass) whose lids clip on?

@Kristin O. I haven't had any trouble with mason jars, but I try to keep my lunchbag upright and not jostle it around a lot.

I'm still packing my lunch. I have lost 10lbs by not going out to eat.

There are small containers for sauces that close pretty well

Packing lunch is a good idea. They make containers with ice packs that keep the food safe in a locker or near a desk.
