what's the difference between donating blood vs plasma?

Donating blood they are taking all the blood. Plasma they are only taking things in the blood and returning the rest back to you.

Make sure to check out rebate apps, like Ibotta, Fetch, Shopkick, etc., if you have a smartphone. For example, I got 5 bags of Birdseye frozen veg for 25 cents each and a free bottle of my favorite oat milk at Walmart using Ibotta last week. There are a few threads about rebate apps and couponing here on SaverLife with lots of info. There was also one about Side Hustles, which had lots of ways you can pick up a little extra cash. For example, I earn about $15/week doing tasks on Clickworker that take a few seconds each, though some weeks I've made up to $75 for listening to audio clips for a few hours and rating how natural they sound. I usually get from $1-$3/day on Swagbucks by running videos that I don't even watch. I stash all the $ in my Paypal account as an emergency fund.

Meal planning really helps me budget. I made a list of our favorite meals and figured out how much they cost. Then I check out the grocery store sale flyers and decide what I'm going to cook for the week.

Try sites like MyPoints and Fetch to earn eGift cards and use the money to invest at Stash.

Been working great for me!

budgeting is kind of hard when it comes to trying to move to a place trying to save and trying to make sure you have all expenses you need and all the stuff you need

Write everything down you need to spend money on for the week or month and see what you have left and invest it in something that will bring value to your life.

Save, save, save…….you never know what the future holds!!

If you're hard pressed for income then take money from rebates and such and put them into a savings source and resist the temptation to spend.

And maybe have one of those cards that lets you round up purchases with the difference going to that savings source. Saving a few pennies at a time isn't as hard as scraping up $10 all at once that you will perhaps miss.

It seems like the longer I do this ,the easier it's getting for me. I find that resisting the urge to spend is key and sticking to your budget as well.

I need to get a second job or gig because my income is limited. Any advice or suggestions?

Write down everything going out each month from your account versus what is going into the account. When you go over those things you will discover what is necessary and what is not and find ways that you can cut out or cut down on monies going out of your account. Now you will be able to save money. Make sacrifices and stay focus and you will succeed.

@Melanie K Is Clickworker similar to Amazon Mechanical Turk "MTurk"? The information I am gathering from it is you are paid a small portion for simple tasks.

Your budget is your Basic savings plan, if you manage your monies well then this will create saving that are available to you directly. One must be focus on the intent of your actions.

How do you budget when you are on a fixed income? It's very hard especially since I have young children that's always needing something.
